Site Management for Architecture & Engineering Practices
I take on the supervision and coordination of construction works for your practice, within the agreed scope of services. The focus is construction supervision in work stage 8; on request I also handle tendering and award (stages 6–7) and post-completion services (stage 9) – for architecture and engineering practices alike.
Construction supervision (stage 8)
Many offices are strong in design and reluctant to hand over stages 6 to 9 — yet tendering, award and construction supervision bind exactly the capacity that design work needs. That is where I come in: as a reliable partner who enforces your design on site.
Site management on behalf of your practice, within the agreed scope of services:
- supervising execution – for compliance with the permit, the contracts, the construction documents and the generally accepted rules of engineering practice
- coordinating trades and parties involved; drawing up, updating and monitoring the schedule
- keeping the site diary, joint measurement, invoice review and cost control
- organising and accompanying acceptance, recording defects and monitoring their remedy, handover of the building
Working in Berlin, its surrounding area and Hamburg.
Billing is transparent, by day rate or hourly.

Further work stages

Tendering & award (stages 6–7)
Drawing up specifications with bills of quantities, quantity take-off and tender documents; obtaining, checking and evaluating bids, price comparison schedule, bidder meetings and award recommendations – properly and traceably documented.
Post-completion services (stage 9)
Assessing defects within the limitation periods, inspection before those periods expire, review and recommendation on the release of securities.
Invoice & quantity review
Checking interim and final invoices against the work actually performed, checking the contractors’ measurements, reconciling the results with contract sums and change orders.
For clients, organisations and property managers
I support clients, organisations and property management companies in preparing and carrying out their building projects. Tasks and authority depend on the agreed role and the specific assignment.
Project management
I manage your project within the agreed framework: organisation, coordination of the parties involved, schedule, costs, contracts and change orders, reports and decision papers. I take on project management on the client side as well as for contracting companies.
Project controls
I support you as the client, or your project management: coordinating, monitoring schedule, costs, contracts and change orders, reporting, preparing decisions. Leadership of the project stays with you.
Owner’s representation
I represent your interests towards designers and contractors: translating your requirements into the language of the construction parties, controlling schedule, costs and quality, preparing your decisions so that boards can take them with confidence.
Property management companies
Refurbishment of commonly owned property: tendering, bid comparison and preparation of the award, site management and supervision, invoice and change order review, organising and accompanying acceptance, defect tracking.
